Overview
ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a phakic intraocular lens placed between the iris and natural lens to correct high myopia (-3D to -20D), hyperopia, and astigmatism. It is the preferred solution for patients who are not eligible for LASIK due to high prescription or thin corneas.

Recovery
Vision stabilizes within 1–7 days. Normal activities resume the next day. Follow-up reviews at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months.

Is ICL painful?
No. The procedure is done under topical anaesthesia and is typically painless. Some patients report mild sensitivity for a few hours post-procedure.
Can the ICL be removed?
